The number of commercial flights continues to shrink
The average number of commercial flights each month has decreased by nearly 20 percent since 2005. That means if your flight is delayed or cancelled due to maintenance or weather, it's less likely there's another available flight. And even if there is, you're less likely to book a seat because airliners are flying with fuller loads. Business aviation all but eliminates that unreliability.
